FYI – Seann William Scott was up for Hit Somebody but when it wasn’t coming together, he joined The Goon. He’s not in both.

PS, Bruce Campbell’s first book was “If Chins Could Kill” – you know I had to chime in on the Evil Dead conversation ;)

And yea, I used to make fun of people who used the term “graphic novel” but there actually is a difference *pushes up glasses* I read both, there’s nothing wrong with either term, but to answer your question of what is the difference – comic books are the weekly or monthly publications or “issues”. When they are compiled with hardcovers that does NOT make them a graphic novel (it’s just a compilation). However, graphic novels are exactly what they sound like – visual novels. Think Watchmen. It’s a genuine novel (and a critically acclaimed one at that), just not told with words alone.

    *end nerd rant*

I’ve read both of Campbell’s books and their fantastic. If I had to pick I’d say I prefer Chins.
I wasn’t sure about the SWS bit, but I knew he was in The Goon. I was fairly certain he was replaced by someone else but I didn’t want to take the time to look it up.
I sincerely hope Kevin Smith decides to continue directing. It would be a shame to just throw in the towel so early.

Okay, but Watchmen came out in monthly installments. My argument stands.

I’m willing to accept that maybe something like Arkham Asylum is a graphic novel.
