Among the many reboots, remakes, and re-imaginings that Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes have kicking around Nightmare on Elm Street seems to be the leader of the pack. Music video director Samuel Bayer has been brought in to restart the franchise. Bayer has been kicking around the music video scene since 1991 with Nirvana’s Smell’s Like Teen Spirit. I can’t imagine this remake is going to be any good. I’ll admit that PD’s remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (not it’s remake sequel) wasn’t awful. It didn’t live up to the original, but I found something about it enjoyable. But do we have to keep taking classic horror franchises and raping them? This is just further proof the Michael Bay is the king of suck. Below, if you care to, you can see two of Bayer’s music videos.
