The newest name rumored to be added to the already “kick-ass” cast of Sylvester Stallone’s Expendables is none other than his Rocky IV nemesis, Dolph Lundgren. Dolph has been cast out into direct-to-dvd obscurity in the last few years so this is a huge step up for him. At this time he’s not yet signed, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Expendables is set to be directed by Stallone, who also penned the script. The premise is about a group of mercs who invade South American country in order to overthrow a dictator. Stallone has seen a bit of success recently with both Rambo and Rocky sequels fairing well with the critics and at the box office. It would take a pretty big disaster for this not to get a theatrical release. Other cast include, Jet Li, Jason Statham, and Stallone himself. Now if they could only find a way to sign Van Damme. Any ideas?
