I Sell The Dead Trailer

Glenn McQuaid’s I Sell the Dead trailer has a wicked sense of humor and a killer cast. The film is currently slated for release sometime in 2008. It will most likely be direct-to-dvd or a small theatrical run. I’ll post more as soon I find out. Check out the trailer below and post some damn comments.

Preacher: The movie

I reported earlier that Mark Steven Johnson’s HBO series adaptation of the kick-ass comic book Preacher had been laid to waste. It was a good day that day, and it just keeps getting better. Sam Mendes (Road to Perdition, American Beauty) has picked up the pieces and decided to make Preacher into a feature film. While Mendes and producer Neal Moritz are looking for the proper scribe may I suggest that Josh Brolin be considered to play the title role. Pretty Please?

Friday the 13th Remake Teaser Trailer

What kind of no talent assclowns could possibly be involved in a remake of Friday the 13th you ask? Well those assclowns happen to be Michael Bay and Marcus Nispel. The pair remade Texas Chainsaw Massacre in 2003 and in my opinion is was a watchable remake, but didn’t compare to the original. It was however a major box office success. I guess they’re hoping lighting will strike twice. Below is the first teaser trailer for Friday the 13th which will, you guessed it, be opening on February Friday the 13th. The trailer looks stylish, but remember Nispel also directed Pathfinder. If you’ve seen that than you know exactly what I’m talking about, if you haven’t follow these steps:
1. find large screwdriver
2. forcefully jam large screwdriver into eye.
3. now you have had the same experience the rest of us did while watching Nispel’s Pathfiinder
before you do any of that, check out the trailer below.

Sidenote: February is usually a deadzone for movies. It’s reserved for the worst of the worst. It seems to me that no matter how bad this movie is, if it was released near Halloween or even any other time it would stand to make a lot more money.

Raimi won’t tackle Ryan

In the wake of announcing that he will film Spiderman 4 and 5 back to back director Sam Raimi has had to opt out of a number of projects. The largest of which is the reboot of the Jack Ryan series. Raimi reported to MTV news that he is no longer attached to the project, but hopes that they will keep him in mind for future installments as it is something he is still interested in being involved with. The Raimi/Ryan combination seemed like an odd but interesting concept from the start, but so long as Raimi doesn’t repeat the debacle that is Spiderman 3 I’ll gladly give him my 10 dollars for another Spidey adventure.

Franklyn Trailer

Despite his many bad films I still kinda like Ryan Phillippe. The trailer for Gerald McMorrow’s Franklyn, starring Phillippe, looks fan-fucking-tastic.I’m crossing my fingers. Phillippe plays Preest a masked vigilante detective, searching for his nemesis on the streets of Meanwhile City, a monolithic fantasy metropolis ruthlessly governed by faith and religious fervor. Esser is a broken man, searching for his wayward son amongst the rough streets of London’s homeless. Milo is a heartbroken thirty-something desperately trying to find a way back to the purity of first love. Emilia is a beautiful art student; her suicidal art projects are becoming increasingly more complex and deadly. Sounds like an interesting but hopefully not heavy handed look at the separation of church and state. Check out the trailer below.

A Film With Me In It, No really that’s the title. I’m not actually in it.

This Bleak yet endearingly sweet black comedy debuted at TIFF this year to a lot of buzz. Until now there had been no trailer for the film to be found. Well here it is in all it’s glory. It contains a few minor spoilers, but damn it it’s worth it. The film has been picked up by Canadian distributors but not yet in America. Ummm, could someone make that happen please. Soon.

Push trailer.

I’m honestly not sure what to think about this film. From the trailer alone I can gather that it’s similar to X-Men and Heroes and is mostly likely banking on the fact that younger fans of both will show up in droves to see the film. If it weren’t for the presence of Chris Evans (Fantastic Four) I might be inclined to shell out 10 bucks to see it as well. Check out the trailer and let me know what you think?

Question: Does anyone else think Evans is just a second rate Ryan Reynolds?

Mark Wahlberg Talks to Animals

I usually don’t post things like this, but I’ll be damned if this didn’t make me laugh my ass off. Apparently Wahlberg didn’t find it so funny. Get a sense of humor. This guy’s impression of Wahlberg is spot on. Enjoy.
